Rewards that save lives: a new opportunity in Beeward Hives

Corporate teamwork is not only motivating, it can also save lives. Now you can support the Foundation for Babies with Heart Disease's CPR programme through the Beeward system - every point you give is a real help!

Social responsibility is no longer an optional extra, but a standard requirement in the workplace - especially for younger generations, including Generation Z. That's why we've decided to make support for the Foundation for Babies with Heart Disease available in all Beeward hives: you can now contribute reward points to help purchase CPR machines and support first aid training.

Why is this important?

Every year, tens of thousands of people in Hungary die from sudden cardiac arrest or work-related accidents. In an unexpected moment, every minute can make a difference - having a usable defibrillator nearby and knowing what to do can literally save a life. And workplaces, teams and companies can now make a real difference by taking concrete action to help this cause, while building employee engagement and a responsible corporate brandGeneration Z....

How does it work?

From now on, any Beeward calendar will include a redeemable reward in support of the Infants with Heart Disease Foundation. Our common goal: to get the message of saving lives out to as many companies, communities and employees as possible.

Purchase and deployment of automatic resuscitation defibrillators, combined with the provision of a first aid course.

The importance of learning the basics of first aid is illustrated by the unfortunate fact that In Hungary, 40-50 thousand people die every year in an accident at work. One of the a significant proportion of deaths due to sudden cardiac arrest, but accidents are also included. The lives of those who suffer such sad incidents depend to a large extent on the reaction of those who see them and are the first to arrive. In order to make resuscitation a success, we would like to provide automatic defibrillators and first aid courses to as many local authorities, sports clubs and community centres as possible.

Since 1996, our foundation has been working to improve the chances of recovery for children and young people with various cardiovascular problems in children's hospitals. To this end in the past almost 30 years, we have donated a large number of medical equipment and instruments necessary for the medical work to several children's hospitals and clinics receiving sick children from all over the country. We have contributed to the construction and design of lipid laboratories, dairy kitchens, rehabilitation gyms, surgical operating theatres, genetic research, and for decades we have bought expensive textbooks containing the latest research findings for the university teaching site to educate medical students and postgraduate medical students.

Now we want to help as effectively as we can on a new problem that affects everyone, regardless of age or gender. 20-25 thousand people die of sudden cardiac arrest in Hungary every yearor because of a cardiovascular disease. This is a huge number in a country of just under 10 million people, so the goal of reducing this number and increasing the chances of survival of our fellow human beings in distress is of the utmost importance!

Many of us react in many different ways to seeing a fellow human being in distress.

We at the Foundation for Babies with Heart Disease believe that if we increase the number of people who take part in first aid courses, and if we make more and more automatic defibrillators, which are easy to use by lay people, easily available in more places, then the number of people who know what to do and do it when they see a fellow human being in distress can increase significantly.

In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, it is lifesaving to immediately start precise resuscitation while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.

If you agree with our intentions and find our ideas worthy of support, please contact us. Over the past 30 years, countless companies, businesses... banks, LLCs, Incorporated Companies and individuals have thought of supporting the work of our Foundation. Our above listed transfers and achievements would not have been possible without the donations of thousands of well-meaning people who want to help.

There are several ways you can help us, one of which is to contribute to our work by subscribing to the Koala subscribes to a children's magazine. It is a one-off annual cost, almost imperceptible in a company's annual budget, but it helps us a lot. You can even advertise in the magazine, as nearly 2,000 subscribers in every county in the country receive the latest issue of Koala magazine every quarter.
