We certainly didn't wait long, and we've added new developments to our workplace recognition scheme.
Why is it important to highlight that as a team?
The system allows people from different departments within the company to start a joint collection in separate teams. The teams are defined by the administrators. Each team will have its own timeline, where you will be able to track the scores and events for that team. However, there is free crossover between two teams, so you don't have to worry about giving credit to a developer for their help as a marketer. Points can be passed between teams in the same way.
More teams, more goals?
The system allows for team-level goal setting. Each team can set an individual goal for itself. To achieve the goal, all you need to do is actively use the app and exist with the idea of daily recognition. As mentioned above, cross-pollination and point passing between teams is allowed, so it's up to you to decide who contributes to the other team to achieve their goal.
The hive's inhabitants are bringing the team closer to the goal with every accolade, so it's up to you to decide when it's achieved.
What lies ahead?
In the not too distant future, you can certainly expect to see more new features in the app. A deeper set of statistics will soon be available for company managers, showing who the pull factors are within the company and where to optimise the team. And the goal suggestion will give each employee another space to anonymously tell the team goal they would like to achieve with the rest of the hive.
